The YMCA Camp Jones Gulch resident camp takes place in a 927-acre property with redwood forests and beautiful meadows in the Santa Cruz Mountains. In addition to the natural surroundings, the camp has a climbing wall, a zip line, a canoeing pond, horses, a swimming pool, sports facilities, and more.Resident camps offer a variety of activities including horseback riding, climbing, archery, canoeing, mountain biking, swimming, arts and crafts, and more. Transportation for all camps is a reasonable $40 each way. Stayover weekends for campers attending two concurrent sessions are FREE.Campers sleep in 32 winterized cabins. These single-sex cabins house ten campers plus two counselors. Activities are plentiful and food is provided. Three hearty meals and snacks throughout the day provide plenty of energy for outdoor fun. Meals are served buffet-style and include a wide variety of choices. Vegetarian options are always available. Accommodations are provided in the camp's 32 winterized cabins. BY CAR: From San Francisco, take Highway 1 South past San Gregorio Beach. Turn left at Pescadero Road. The camp is on your right after about eleven miles.You can also take 280 South to Highway 84/Woodside Road. Drive west toward 35 South/Skyline Road and La Honda. About a mile after La Honda, turn left at Pescadero Road. The camp is on your right after about five miles.BY BUS: Bus transportation is available to and from multiple areas in the City.
