Douglass Playground is one of the nicest and most popular parks in the City. Located in Noe Valley, the park is usually on the sunny side of the fog line. New play equipment was recently installed and there are areas for both younger and older kids. One of the best things about Douglass is that there is a beautiful wooded area at the back of the park that provides a great trail area for older kids to climb around in. This is a real neighborhood park and during the summer the directors of the recreation center have been known to pull out small swimming pools and water hoses. The baseball field (and dog run area) is located up the hill on Douglass. There is also a full basketball court that doubles as a great bike-riding area.
