Parent Teacher Conference Tips
Spring conferences are right around the corner. SFUSD's are March 17-21. Schools are dismissed one hour earlier than usual. However, you don't have to wait until the official school conference week to schedule a conference! If you need to talk to a teacher, make an appointment at any time of the year. Here are some things to keep in mind from the National Education Association (NEA).
Start the conference right: be there on time, and plan not to run over the amount of time that has been set aside.
If you are a working parent who can't arrange to meet during regular hours, make this clear to the teacher and try to set up a time to meet that is good for both of you, or schedule a phone conference. Read more tips.

Cooking: There are two great cooking camps in the City EJ's Cookin' With Class and Apron Strings. A few other camps offer sessions with cooking but don't have that as their only focus, see our Camps Page/Cooking to find them.
Sewing/Fashion: Wee Scotty offers a great sewing and fashion design camp. Project Runway watch out!
Chess: Academic Chess
Photography: Kathi O'Leary Photography Camp
What Are You Doing for Spring Break?
Spring Break season seems to go on forever this year, with public, private and preschools all taking off on different weeks this year. The upside is that the crowds won't be as bad as they could be.
