When your child is struggling, it's often you who must take the initiative to find the help and support that you both need. There are many resources available to support students and parents. Be sure to check with your child's school for educational aid, enrichment, and assistance.

• San Francisco Beacon Initiative (SFBI), a public-private partnership that promotes youth and family centers in our public schools. (SFBI is a project of the San Francisco School Alliance, formerly the Every Child Can Learn Foundation.) There are eight centers with a variety of events and activities.
• 826 Valencia offers free afterschool tutoring and support.
• Testmasters SAT Prep
• San Francisco Public Library offers free online homework support.
• Math and Reading Help is a directory of hundreds of original articles, tips, and resources centered on the topic of children's learning.

SFkids Spotlight
100% College Prep Institute
100% College Prep Institute is an afterschool program in the Bayview neighborhood that provides tutoring, college advising and preparation services, and study and leadership skills. They also host youth clubs such as in math, languages, life skills, and more. The center hosts Summer College Prep Institute that offers workshops on preparing for the college application and financial aid process.
