Excelsior Teen Center

The Excelsior Teen Center (ETC), located in the Excelsior district, is the youth center of the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, an organization that fosters the ethnic, cultural, and economic diversity of Bernal Heights and its surrounding neighborhoods. ETC offers teens a chance to participate in leadership development, violence prevention, employment training and placement, and afterschool and summer programs. There is also a drop-in center for youth ages 11 to 18 that is open Mondays through Fridays from 3pm–7pm

Afterschool programs include:
- Boiz Group: This program teaches young males personal development skills.
- Youth Employment Services Program: This program features job readiness training for youth ages 16 to 24.
- Leadership Group: This program teaches life skills such as accountability, integrity, and responsibility.
- Tutorial Program: Tutors are available to help with homework. Kids have access to computers and the internet.
