San Franciscans are supposed to root for the Giants, but the “other” Bay Area baseball team is one that deserves our support, too. And if you can’t possibly root for the A’s, at least you get the chance to see legendary teams of the American League that you wouldn’t be able to catch at AT&T Park. Bring the kids to a Sunday home game and let them run the bases after the game with mascot Stomper.
Giveaway days are not just about bringing home baseball souvenirs. Watch a game for $2 on BART Wednesdays. The first 10,000 fans get free hotdogs on Thursdays. See the promotion schedule on the website for all the details.
Kids age 14 and younger can join the A’s Kids Club. Members get a kit with all kinds of A’s merchandise, discounts, newsletters, access to the field during batting practice, and a chance to be a guest announcer or grounds crew assistant during a pre-game.
The A’s Community Fund supports youth programs such as A's Amigos, Take the Field with the A's, Race Around the Bases, A's Join Forces with CPYC, and more.
