Description
RayKo Photo Center is an all-purpose photography facility offering darkroom and equipment rental, classes and workshops, photo processing, and fantastic current exhibits. The facility has a rental studio, state-of-the-art digital lab, and a gallery that features work by emerging and established photographers. They have a youth program that offers in-school photography workshops that include Polaroid, Polaroid and Writing, Black and White Photography, Photogram (a photographic image made [without a camera] by placing objects directly onto the surface of a photo-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light), Pinhole Camera, Disposable Camera, and more.
The staff is made up of a diverse group of working artists whose interests range from mastering the art of traditional darkroom printing, to creating new digital printing processes.
Classes:
Rayko offers classes in both darkroom and digital photography, as well as technique classes. Instructors also offer one-on-one customized tutoring services for photographers of all levels. Other youth workshops include Black and White Darkroom, Polaroid, Digital Darkroom, Pinhole Photography, Photograms, Liquid Light, Photo Collage, Large Format Photography, Mural Painting, Exhibiting, self-portraits, and more.
