See the website for detailed information on what The Nabe has to offer.

DCYF-supported program that takes place at The Nabe:

Experiment in Diversity (EID) is a free cultural educational program for youth ages 12 to 18 whose ultimate goal is to ensure that all youth are ready to access post-secondary education or have a career path upon graduating high school. They recruit hard-to-serve youth who are in the juvenile system, or have the potential of falling into the juvenile system, not attending school and/or failing while in school, and provide them with the support needed to succeed in school and/or a GED program. EID provides tutoring, mentoring, case management, In-Home Base Supervision, and emotional support to help participants overcome the barriers to their success. They oversee the youths' daytime, evening, and weekend activities to ensure they stay focused and on task. They establish relationships with the schools that participants attend, and with parents, to ensure that staff is allowed to represent students at school conferences and provide documents to schools for absence when necessary. They assist youth in securing work after graduation and sponsor quarterly outreach events. The program runs Mondays through Thursdays from 4pm–8pm.
