Golden Gate Park Golf Course

Golf is fun, even in foggy weather. Enjoy a day with a bucket of balls, play a round on the 9-hole course, or practice on the putting greens. This is a walk-up, first-come, first-served golf course. Every golfer must have his or her own set of clubs.

Classes: Junior golf instruction is offered throughout the year. Fees include instruction, rental clubs (if needed), balls, tees, range balls, course fees, snack lunch, and tokens redeemable for treats and/or merchandise.

Afterschool: Tues–Thurs 3:45pm–5:15pm, $35 per lesson or $145 for 5 lessons
Saturdays: 1pm–2:30pm(beginners), 3pm–4:30pm (intermediate/advanced), $35 per lesson or $145 for 5 lessons
School breaks and non-traditional holidays: 9am–noon and 12:30pm–3:30pm ($55 per lesson)

Camps: Summer camps are fun at the Golden Gate Park Golf Course. Kids will learn from the same pro for five days. Fees include instruction, rental clubs (if needed), balls, tees, range balls, course fees, snack lunch, and tokens redeemable for treats and/or merchandise.

2010 Week-long Summer Camp Sessions:
Dates: June 1–September 3
Ages: 6 to 16
Days/Times: Mondays through Fridays, 9am–noon and Saturdays, 1pm–2:30pm
Cost: $255 per week or $35 per day or $165 per five lessons

2009 Winter Camp Session:
Dates: December 21–December 24 and December 28–December 31
Ages: 6 to 16
Days/Times: Mondays through Thursdays, 9am–noon
Cost: $55 per day

Celebrations: This is a unique birthday party for the golf aficionado. Kids will play in the practice area and the course for 90 minutes with an assigned golf pro. Food and drinks will be served afterwards in their party area. The cost is $35 per junior golfer.

Gear: This is a decent place to buy clubs for the beginning golfer. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
