Description

The "renewed" Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park is one of the largest natural history museums in the world. Visit and reacquaint your family with the amazing exhibits the museum has in store, only in a much improved, environmentally-conscious, and sustainable space. Discover flora and fauna from different parts of the world, planets and outer space, California's natural wonders and climate, and much more.

Visit the new Morrison Planetarium, the largest all-digital planetarium in the world. Among the new, fantastic features are The Living Roof, Rainforests of the World, Flooded Amazonian Forest, Water Planet, Philippine Coral Reef, and the Northern California Coast tank. Be sure to explore old favorites such as the African Hall, Foucault’s Pendulum, the Swamp exhibit, the T Rex skeleton, and the 87-foot Blue Whale.

The "Penguins + Pajamas" Academy sleepover is a terrific opportunity for kids ages 6 and up. Sleep in the African Hall or Steinhart Aquarium, have access to the Rainforests of the World exhibit, special exhibitions, and a Planetarium show. The package includes overnight parking in the Music Concourse parking garage as well as next-day museum admission, breakfast, snacks, and a gift. Enjoy dinner at the cafe or the Moss Room. An adult chaperone must accompany every group of up to five children.
