Description
The Rotary Nature Center is a wildlife refuge on the banks of Lake Merritt in Oakland. Kids love to hang out by the lake to watch the birds, participate in bird feedings, and learn about different resident and migratory waterfowl. The center is open year round.
Camps:
They offer many summertime programs geared toward participants of various ages. The programs range from general outdoor hikes to overnight excursions.

Getting There
From San Francisco, cross the Bay Bridge to 580 East toward Hayward/Stockton. Exit at Lakeshore Avenue and turn right onto Grand Avenue. Turn left on Bellevue. The Rotary Nature Center is right on Lake Merritt, near Fairyland. Parking is easy on weekdays.
